If you follow my auctions you know I have been selling used ATV’s on eBay for over 9 years and try to find nice used ATV’s to sell weekly. Presently I am having an almost impossible time finding “big bore” ATV’s since new ones are outrageously priced and used ones are being snatched up as soon as they hit the market. I found this machine yesterday and it had just been traded. It is the very rare “Dale Earnhardt special edition” with the fancy aluminum wheels, $480 worth of radial tires and fuel injection. It is in good shape and is presently in being serviced so there will be no hidden surprises when delivered. If you have looked for an ATV for any time you probably already know that the Polaris Sportsman series is the standard of comparison in the 4×4 market. They have over a foot of ground clearance and pioneered the use of an automatic transmission and independent suspension on all four corners on a “big bore” machine. They have more aftermarket accessories manufactured for them than any other machine and they are absolutely bulletproof. They weigh close to 200lbs more than a comparable Japanese machine and the weight went to heavy duty axles, frames, and transmissions. With the fuel injection they always meter just the right amount of fuel for the altitude or temperature and I have yet to see one with a bad engine-and I have seen 700′s with over 30,000 miles!! These are great machines and are ones that you can buy once and maintain well, and they will last virtually forever. I ride a 1998 Sportsman 500 that I have owned almost 10 years and has 29,000 miles now-I would not sell it for love nor money! This 700 is stunning in real life and I expect to sell quickly.
